A burger and a beer. What better way to end your (shitty) Monday?
Richmonders have long rushed to the local oasis that is Capital Ale House (CAH) to take advantage of their Monday “Dollar Burger Night” while guzzling down a pint of a European Lager they can’t pronounce.
I have recently found a better “Burger Night” at Delux Lounge on Main Street
- Although Delux burgers are $5 on Monday, Patrons wishing to purchase a “Dollar Burger” at CAH must also purchase a beverage other than water. (Your CAH tab is up to $3)
- Delux burgers are made to order – my preference is Medium to Medium Rare. At CAH all $1 burgers are cooked well done, which in my opinion tastes like a piece of charcoal with Ketchup on it.
- CAH charges you extra for cheese. (Your CAH tab is up to at least $3.25)
- Delux gives you a choice of a side item. Try the sweet potato fries yum! CAH will bring you a side of fries for $2. (Your CAH tab is up to $5.25)
CAH $5.25 > Delux $5 Basically you get a Burger and side at Delux for about the same as you pay at Capital Ale House.
I can’t hate on Capital Ale – before Bar Louie was around there was no better place to go to catch a cougar. Not as many cougars at Delux but with man candy bartenders on Monday nights a stream of sexy twenty somethings show up after dark. Tonight I’ll stick to the fan and get my burger at Delux. You should too!!
